Your voice, your call.

If a song made here uses your voice, your name, your likeness or your work in a way you didn't agree to, tell us and we'll take it down.

Who can ask

Artists, rights holders and their representatives, and anyone whose voice, likeness or name is used in a song shared from ZimpleMusic. You can also report a song that impersonates, harasses or misleads people, even if it isn't about you.

What to send

One email is enough. Please include:

  • The link to the song — share pages look like zimplemusic.com/s/…
  • Who you are, and what right is involved: your own voice, name or likeness, a copyright you own, or someone you represent.
  • A statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized, and that what you've told us is accurate.
  • How we can reach you.

What happens next

We aim to take reported share links down within 48 hours, often sooner. If something is unclear we'll ask before acting. We tell the person who shared the song that it was removed and why, and we may suspend accounts that keep posting songs that break our terms.

If you think we got it wrong

If your share link was removed and you believe that was a mistake — say, it's clearly parody or you have permission — email us a counter-notice with the link, why you think it should come back, and your contact details. We'll review it, may share it with the person who reported the song, and restore the link if the issue is resolved.

Parody, not impersonation

Songs styled after an artist are inspiration and parody, never the real thing. Passing them off as genuine, or putting words in a real private person's mouth, breaks our terms.
